Hey... let's face it, whether we run or are waiting for something, aren't we all often missing "more time" to do "more things"?

I know I left my blog a little bit on the side as life has pushed me into running a lot lately. Nevertheless, I still believe in blogging very much and will soon post again. I would like my blog to take a new fresh "turn", which is also why I need some time.

Today (again) I think about Forrest Gump waiting on the bus stop and talking about chocolates. I really like this movie and encourage those of you who haven't seen it to do so.

Here under an extract of a post I wrote after one of David Armano's brilliant insights. This thought was written thinking about blogging and about connecting ideas and opening new ways to communicate. Love the image below as well.

GROWING IDEAS
I'm sure more will come out of it... more ideas, more links, more examples and success stories. This is the beginning of a new way to connect our brains intuitively but with a new ability to gather and focus... to feed ideas and make them grow like never before.

This just to let you know I'll be flying to the south of France for a week. Family holidays (Yessss, yessss... Yeeehaaa! Finally!). Back next week. Till then, here is the plan : nothing, nada, rien, niets. Not a post, not a comment, not a computer (Errrrr... what? Really? Oh my god...). Mind break? Naaa... Mind rest!

Breaking the structure

If you have the patience to wait a little bit while watching a politician speak french for a while, I encourage you to check this site. No focus on content here, although the promises made by this guy who introduces a new political party are quite funny, like extremely low tax rates, free buses and cabs, free gasoline for all... The name of the fake party itself is a "cliché" since “MDR” is the french equivalent of “LOL”.

 

Check the way the web designers treated the integration between text and video. At the end as there is no possible interaction... (besides one link to the party communicating this), this micro site works just like an ad. Quite interesting, isn't it?

 

Flower of the Mom(s)

It’s been a while now, but we all remember. What happened to our friend CK is still fresh in our memories. This weekend it is Mother’s day and so as you can all imagine, it will be a very special weekend for CK and her sister Melissa. CK wrote an extremely touching tribute to her Mom that I invite you to read here. In addition to sending them both our warmest thoughts, it is also the perfect moment to remember CK’s Mom action for Habitat for Humanity (if you wish to donate you may follow the link by clicking on the logo hereby or on the sidebar of this blog).

Groovy clicking suggestion

Hey, I saw this little groovy dude weeks ago and even if he has no face, he made me smile. Very well designed character, isn't it? So here it is : "Cool! Thanks to “Iamsemjaza” who seems to have kindly nominated quite a few blogs.The results will be announced on November 10th, 2007 at PostieCon in Orlando, Florida.

The Dawn of Shared Consciousness

   

Well, that’s it folks. All the writers (well almost depending on their time zone)  have sent their chapter to Gavin Heaton, co-publisher –together with Drew McLellan- of the already famous e-book: “The Age of Conversation”.

 

Now, for those of you who don’t know what this is about, you can track the genesis of this project here. The idea : 100 bloggers writing each 1 chapter of the book – 400 words limit. The fantastic thing about this project is probably that for once, the participating bloggers had to co-create in parallel, within the same timing. And when I see the list of names involved (see here under), I just can’t wait to read the visions regrouped in this book.

 

Of course at this stage, quite a few questions may tickle your mind... Although the topics were to be given in advance to avoid treating twice the same subject, from a very personal point of view, here is my take on it. There were no instructions over the content of the chapters –“where you take it is up to you...”, said Drew in his original post- but I’m sure there will be overlap between chapters, ideas, visions and stories. At this stage (before the book is published - BSP), I have the strong impression that it will be like a flow of ideas that are all inter-connected in a way. Not only by the generic title of the e-book. But by the “Shared Consciousness” of all the writers, that this is the “Dawn” of a new social communication era. The title of my chapter is : “The Dawn of Shared Consciousness” and it floats around evolution and revolution.

 

Time to write the sentence you’ve already seen on a few blogs now : “To know more about it, you’ll have to buy and read the e-book”. Thrilling, isn’t it? Let’s not forget that the e-book is dedicated to the memory of Sandra J. Kerley and that all proceeds from the sale will benefit Variety, the Children's Charity which helps and serves children across the entire globe.
